Need help to get this CRX running!!!!
hello, ive got a 90 crx HF, and it has been sitting for over 1 year, maybe around 2.
it turns over, and wants to start, but i just cant get it to start!!
i replaced the spark plugs and i need some help to see what else i can do. i checked the grounds everything seems to be good.
it did start one time, but it cut off.
The ecu is a pm8, hf ecu, and everything appears to be stock. there is no led light when i turn the key tho?? and no led flashes at all, but it did appear to start?? could the bulb go bad? let me know if you think anything else i should check, common problems

I had same problem one time was ignition coil. My car would start when i put in new battery but only far that day then next day wouldn't start. I never could figure out what was wrong so sent it to a shop. Hurt my pride.
If its been sitting 2 years, first make sure you have fresh fuel. If you are trying to start it on the same tank of fuel thats been sitting 2 years, its not going to happen. Try draining/syphoning out the old fuel (or if its pretty low anyways, just pour in new fuel and mixture should be fine).
If you've already tried that, I'd move onto spark and fuel pressure. Check to make sure your battery is fully charged and in good condition. A weak battery won't put out enough current to turn the starter with enough force. If you've checked the wires and plugs, then move onto fuel pressure. If you don't have guage already on the fuel, you may be able to mount one off of the fuel filter. Pressure should be between at least 30psi with a target of 35. After sitting for a while you may need to prime the pump a few times to build pressure (do this by turning key to acc 2 and wait 5 seconds then turn key to off - repeat 3-4 times). I imagine with you trying to start it already that pressure should already be built up assuming your fuel system is working correctly.
Try these, this should cover 90% of problems. If its still not starting, come back and we'll work from there.

Thanks guys, im at college, and all my tools are back home, ill check the fuel pressure, the gas that was in it is still in there, it had a half of a tank, i put like 1 more gallon in there, is there any fuel addictive, or anything that i can add?? the car is at a dudes house, and hes older, not trying to syphon gas out of it and stuff.
ill try and get a pressure gauge, and check the fuel pressure, thanks and ill get back to ya'll

CRX Workshop manual is on the right on this page.
I suggest reading it thuroughly.
It has a troubleshooting flowchart and it's pretty good.

just try to get the fuel first, i'm almost possitive thats the problem if you say its gas thats been sitting there for 2 years. Octane booster might help enough to get to a gas station and top off the tank with some new gas.
If the ecu doesnt initially blink once when you turn the key, then that means you might need another ECU, check the connection atleast.
Ya thats what i was thinking about the ecu, i have a extra pm8 that is at home, im going to get it and see at least if it is throwing any codes, becasue no lights on the current ecu is coming on. i added some fuel injector cleaner with octane boost, didnt budge, but the battery is dying. ill keep it updated.
