Is stock compression (its an H22, so 10.0) safe for running a JRSC, or would I need to lower it and sleeve? What would you estimate the highest safe compression you could run before problems arise? I really dont want to go through the hassle of sleeving it if I dont have to,although it is probably a smart thing to do.
You'll be more then fine. I don't know a single person who has lowered their c/r when using the JRSC esp. at stock boost level. Hell, you could upgrade your pulley and run 9psi and still be safe. You'll need the extra c/r to make decent power with it anyway.
The biggest danger with the JRSC is the very hot intake temps. And since you can't make an intercooler for it, the only way to lower them is through alcohol injection.

Would you suggest using type S pistons on the application. I was originally going to go N/A and add an S/C after a little bit. I was going to leave out the type S pistons because of compression and the cost to put them in and then take them out, but it sounds like that will be ok as well.
