12:1 comp but what cams???
i bought a newly rebuild b16a with 12:1 comp pistons .... aventually i would like to make around 190 -200whp ... what kind of cams should i go with .. i was lookin towards jun3 ... hit me up .. i have stock poop header tight now with kteller pipeing and ghetto intake
whats a better cam for my setup skunk2 stage2s or like some jun3's ..... ive heard amazing things about jun cams....
also i have some cams that have surface rust on them how do i fix?

For a super high rpm b16 I would like a jun III's since streetability is a real concern. The jun III's are a peaky top-end cam with a stock like profiles off of vtec. You will retain stock idle, and driveability. (which makes it nice for tuning aswell.) But up top where the b16's make power, the juns aggressive ramp angles will make gooo good power.
Also note that skunk 2 stage 2 is very similar. (i like juns though!)

i can get jun3's for 500 shipped with valvetrain .. and some minor surface rust or i can get some skunk2 stage2's for 200 but just the cams .... does the head have to come off to put new valvetrain in??
I've had both cams, and I like the skunks a lot more. and about your last question about taking the the head off, to do the valve train, If you plan on just replacing cams and springs/retainers, you can keep the head on, but if you wish to the replace valves, you have to remove the head, if you decide to replace valves, i'd highly suggest valves that are coated w/ black nitrade...it has more resistance to heat and friction. mine are made by super-tech and i love them. Good luck w/ the build

yes, the stage 2 are aggressive cams. Stage 1's are fine with stock valvetrain

i don't think it would be a good idea to run bigger cams without upgrading the valvetrain.
my guess is you could probably do it but not for long also when upgrading cams i personaly like to pull the head change seals springs ect.. you can never tell what you can find and prevent from happening, any way it is also a good idea to clay your motor when going with big cams
just my .02
