Recommend a good air/fuel ratio gauge
I don't care for this thing...

What would be a good replacement? Please provide a make/part number and why you like it. Pics would be good as well. Thanks in advance. Anyone want to buy this thing let me know.

Perhaps an oil temp sensor.

I vote boost gauge, but that's me.
No one cares about oil temp, EGT is mostly useless..
Oil pressure? you've got V-Attack to tell you when you starve...
Stock RPM gauge is close enough..
UEGO is good for tuning and diagnosing issues quickly. But... really... how often do you need that?

So... yeah... I have a bunch of gauges, I glance at A/F and EGT on track, pay attention to oil temp (stupid me), glance at oil pressure when I think I have an issue, ignore boost....

-edit...
the other gauge (to the right side) is my boost gauge.

Yea man... still trying to figure out all the stuff. BTW... you are the man and thanks for all the help. Car is running much better now. Can't wait to get it up to cheese-steak land and tune it.

I have one. It works well, although it reads 0.5 richer than my tuner's wideband.
Search AEM UEGO.
I don't have a good picture of mine, but here it is (off)

WOW thats alot of guages! Looks like an airplane!hehehhe j/p
I would probably rock the oil temp and pressure then go for a wide band
but on a street / drag car I would rock a wide band and a oil pressure
PLX also makes some nice wideband units with kool accesssories

$195-ish at Summit, not bad. Wideband O2's aren't cheap. The cheap ones are useless.

wideband is useful of course, however if you have to decide bewteen some type of AF gauge vs none, you're better of with narroband, it will give relative readings, you will know if you're running lean. if the car has been tuned, you should be fine without a/f, but like i said, its better to have narroband than nothing.

What agitates me (now) is that the A/F gauge just stays in the middle under acceleration and then (under decel + no gas..) bounces to lean and between (stoich and lean) like a freaking light show. Makes me nutz.... perhaps something that wasn't random would be good?

Its not random, the ECU "dithers" the a/f ratio around (above and below) the stoichometric level in an effort to make the converter work.
Well, that and the fact that it (a stock O2) can pretty much only tell the difference between "lean" and "rich", and not how lean or how rich (for which yo need a wideband o2 sensor).

dsav4shawn, if this is 52mm / 2 1/16" sell it to me. I'm gonna use it with a PLX-300 and a narrowband to wideband converter.
It's the sport comp gauge right? 3375?

Wow...
If you trusted that A/F, you're lean under full throttle. I used to have one of those LED A/F gauges, it would always read full rich under WOT even with I/H/E, ported throttle body, etc. (on a different OBD2 car, not the ITR)
