i want to built up a shortblock for my LSVTEC set up JUNKYARD SET UP
here's what i got..
b18a- $30 bare w/mains/crank
GSR crank,GSR rods- free from a friend.
OS PR3 pistons/rings- $250
Im mitch matching the GSR crank and rods, so im not too sure what it'll be. I check on C-speedracing.com it says it'll be around 11.6 but thats with a b18b shortblock w/pr3 and b16 head, and 11.4 with b18c1 bottom pr3's and b16 head..
I am going to use the stock ls wintage, oil pickup, oil pan for this set up due to the fact that he's keeping the GSR girdles and etc.
my question is...
what would be my compression??
ive search and havent found much..
and who's done this before??
need some answers!!
thanks

Its weird because you are kind going opposite of what most think of when they think of a gsr/ls hybrid bottom end. Since you are using gsr rods, you have zero oil transport through the block into the head. I really hope you are using a external oil line.
otherwise good luck, and keep your tolerances and torque specs within spec. good luck!
