Need body experts...
I'm currently interested in a 95 gsr. The seller is selling for 4500 with 113k miles. The car drive fine but needs a minor fixing. Also there is some "honda rust". The area where all honda's rust. Can body workshop people give me an estimate on how much i'm looking pay to fix and how much i should pay for a car like this. I'm stuck deciding if i want it or not, i'm don't really want to deal with a car that will give me a hassle.

I can't see the pics but if you are going to do it right they are going to respray your whole quarter panel, which is going to cost you at least $250 bucks in materials and labor if you have it done at a decent shop. Labor rates vary, but any decent shop is going to charge at least $35 dollars an hour for the repair, and additional time to remove the bumper etc. If ya have any more questions shoot me a PM, in a few days after this trial user bullshit is done and I have PM privileges.

it is on both side of the car and also under the trim piece on the side of the car on one side. THe rust has not eaten through but seem to be bubbles instead.

My guess is about 8 hours is the least they will charge you, not to mention the R&I time, (R&I=Remove and Install) Pieces like the bumper, gas lid etc. You do the math...
If you were is Madison I could recommend a few shops, as far as illwaukee I don't know much...you might want to drop into one of the Milwaukee threads in the Appearance/ Cosmetic forum and see who they recommend.
Honestly man I would pass on that car all together. There are just TOO MANY GOOD used cars all within that same price range of $4500..After I sold my last hatch and paid off Honda (2004 Si) I was left with $4k to buy a car..I went to see at least 20 different cars, I walked away from every single one! I had to rely on rides from friends to work, no social life because I had nothing to drive..Anyway, I just want to let you know after weeks of being let down I found my new baby: a 1991 Acura Integra LS, one owner, 43K miles original, all original body, interior etc..Car is damn 14 years old and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I paid $1800 for it
Also just so you know car fax is bs. The only way any accidents show up is if you report to your insurance company or there is a police report. My girl has already crashed her new car 2 times and guess what: nothing on carfax.
I have put together a VERY GOOD, step by step guide titled "So you can tell if a used car has ever been wrecked or if anything is not original". If you guys want to know just let me know..My experience whenever I am in a rush to get something I usually regret it..Patience is a virtue for a reason you know

Thanks for the helpful advices. I am passing up on this car and driving my parents car for now. With your helpful advices i decided to not get it. I didn't want to deal with the rust anyways. Plus i can save up money for a better car. Thanks everyone.

if that's the case you are probably looking at quite a bit to have a shop fix it.
