Remote start??
I have a Viper 791 on my 95 Teg and I wanted to disconnect the remote start so i can bring it to a shop, cause my alarm remote is not fuctioning and i want to bring it to a shop.
? You just want to shut down the remote start? Or are you saying you want to disconnect the whole brain?
If you're trying to say the starter kill is on and you can't get the car to start to take it to the shop, all you'll have to do is put the car into valet mode. Read your owners manual... it will explain how to do it.
IIRC you turn the key on to ignition, then turn the car off, and then push the little black valet push button the number of times programmed into the brain. This is going to be between 1 and 5.

I just want to disconnect the remote start function of the alarm only.

Yeah i know that, but i nead to the actual wire set up. Shops arent willing to look at my alarm cause of the remote start on a manual. But if i disable that feature then they will.

There's a small gauge black/white wire coming out of a plug on the brain. That's your remote start shutdown wire. If that wire is grounded, then the remote start won't function. That wire (in typical installations) goes to one side of a simple on/off switch, and the other side goes to ground.
so both ends of the wire have to be grounded for it not to work? Is that how it would be done professionally if i didnt have the remote start feature.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by B18C_EJ8 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">There's a small gauge black/white wire coming out of a plug on the brain. No. Read. As I stated in the prior post:

By "other side" I meant other side of the switch.

couple ways to disable your remote start, pull the fuses off of the 2 heavy gauge red wires under your dash.]
or cut a small gauge black wire with a white stripe on it in half so that it is not connected to anything. to reconnect just hook it back up to a ground
or just pull a ribbon type of wire harness form the side of the alarm brain and it will not engage the remote start heavy gauge wires.
