Yee Ole Hype R has been challenged
apparently a guy i know, his friend has a 520HP rx7 and he is an avid road courser.
so we shall see the outcome of this at perhaps a time trial event.

Caveat: I don't condone this behavior, but it should work. Your only hope is to pull a late-brake kamikaze maneuver on the inside of the first corner and intimidate him into thinking you might hit his expensive race car with your ricer econo-box. Did I say that I don't condone this behavior?

I put my money on the ITR, since it will most likely be able to complete a lap without blowing the motor. Where's my flame suit?

Lol...well, I'm not sure on your specs, but to get that much HP he must be running a pretty big turbo, so lag might be an issue for him on the slow parts of the track. On the straights he'd pick up some time...also depends how heavy his foot is and if he's a MaD dOrIfTo champion lol.

Oops, time trials, eh? Well another thing you have going for you is the 3rd gen. rx7's cornering speed is severely limited. On the other hand, if the driver has a lid for his Starbucks double mocha latté, you're SOL.

NASA Time Trials have everyone on course at the same time, HPDE style, open passing (+/-) often with instructors.
A well set-up RX7 is good competition for a Viper... not sure how the ITR will do, should be about even.
Your best bet is that he blows up before he learns the track. Go somewhere new.

Not if he's only making 1/4 of that power through 80% of the track...big turbos require lots of spool time...on a tight course that could really hurt him.
