okay, what does it mean when my upper radiator hose gets swollen after i drive my car for a while?

i just replaced my radiator by pass hose and my radiator cap. the radiator cap is bootleg.


could the radiator cap be the problem? im thinking the wrong cap prevented any pressure and builted up from going out of the radiator into the overflow tank.

but i dont know.

when my car is pretty warmed up, the upper radiator hose gets swollen. and then it finally leaked last night.

my car started to run funny because the raidator fucked up my spark plug wires or somthing. it made a funny noise when i drove fast, it idle funny like i had a vacume leak and so on.......


so yeah, whats up with the swollen vacume hose?

and why is my car idleing funny?

i checked my spark plug and one of it did have oil on it.

 

here are my thoughts on your situation, It could be the rad cap seeing how the caps are designed to relieve at a certain pressure (say 13 psi) , because when stuff heats up it expands so the cap vents it in order to keep the pressure from damaging anyhting. allso how old is th hose? how many miles? is it like really soft when its cold? hth

what about the oil on one of the spark plugs?

 

how much oil? was it soaked or was it just a light film? if it was just light film your cool. but yeah allot of oil deposit is bad, i think thats usually vavle seals but not sure.....anyone else?

and here is the problem that scares me like ****.


im driving and once the car heats up, the car starts to SHAKE. and the RPM goes up and down while on IDLE.

and, the car sputters when im trying to accelerate.


is it a vacume leak? or what. and why is there oil on my spark plug.

any help would be great....

How is your oil level? Does it burn oil? Can you check the cylinder compression?
