Default new pistons = bore block?

I'm getting new pistons for my ls motor with appx 71k miles. I haven't asked the shop about this yet, but will I need to have my block bored or honed because of the mileage? Will I have to get some .25 over pistons instead of getting normal 81mm?

yes you'll have to get it bored out if you're oversizing
and also honed of course.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean that I want to get oversize pistons. What I meant is that I wanted to know if 71k miles is considered alot of mileage for a motor as far as changing pistons is concerned. I'd like to just use regular 81mm pistons, but if my block is in bad shape, (which I highly doubt it as being that the person who had it before me was a middle aged woman) would I be better off having the block bored and getting .25 over pistons? Anyway, how much should I expect to pay for honing?
