I'm building a crx into a allmotor race car for the track, Just wondering what ways you guys have fixed the rear of these cars from the rust. I was thinking of redoing the whole rear end and making it not have a spare tire well to reduce drag and kind of raise it up because the back end of these cars sits pretty low.

best bet, cut it out and refab it.

 

obviously im going to cut it all off and weld on new metal, just wondering if anyone has modifed the rear of the car at all to make it sit higher

 

You could cut it out and mount your fuel cell in there nice and low.

 

only problem is in the event I want to compete in you can't have a fuel cell
