what's the difference between drilled/slotted/blanks?
what's the difference between the three? ive heard conflicting things. i want some better braking capability. also what pads would you recommend other than hawk? ones that last decently long and don't tear up the rotors. thanks guys.

nothing much performance wise. the only realy difference is the price. i've used slotted and blanks and i have yet to see the hype. if your car is a daily driver slotted and drilled are pointless IMO.
i didnt want hawks either so i just decided to go OEM from Acura.

i got brembo slotted all around with Hawks pads and goodridge SS lines noticed a big difference, but if i did it again i would probably just get the brembo blanks in the rear since the front does most of the stopping.

These are often times the same people who swear they can feel a difference with that aftermarket fuel rail they just installed.
Drilled and/or slotted rotors are structurally weaker, and offer less of a pad to rotor friction surface meaning that they're more prone to cracks and will offer a loss in braking performance.

i'm no expert, but i would guess that on such a small break rotor, it wouldn't make much of a difference if they were slotted or cross drilled or blank. i could see it making a noticable difference on a larger rotor where theres more breaking torque, for example on a lamborghini where they have like 17" break rotors.
