what consists of building up a bottem end for say a turbo setup?

like i know who to build a head and all sorts but i hear people talkin about building the bottem end and does that consist of rods and such or what?

just tryin to learn a few things thanks guys

 

usually when people say building the bottom end they mean adding forged rods and forged pistons.

it can also consist of sleeving the block with aftermarket sleeves to hold more boost or adding a blockguard.

 

is that pretty much it, or would anything else be involved
