rods in b16

Default rods in b16

i was just wondering what you guys had to say about stock rods in a b16a with about 12 psi and arp rod studs...i just want other opinions about it and how much power will be put to the ground with a b16 at 12psi if antyone has the same thing let me know the numbers

safe psi is 8-10 on stock internals, so 12 would be pushing it. If you are spending the money for ARP studs go with Golden Eagle rods. Do it right the first time

My opinion.....have the stock rods shotpeened and polished, strength will increase by 100%. As already mentioned, get some arp rod bolts, and you'll be good to go at 12 psi.

yo stock b16 rods are nice...i ran 16psi daily on them and was revving to 8500-8800 and they held up great....the pistons didnt though

stock rods should be ok, proper tuning is the key. shot peening hardware etc. will only increase their longevity, so if its in your budget do it. on the other hand a forged rod like eagle is a no brainer, then you get to move to other areas of your motor to find weaknesses
