JB weld repaired IM?
OK, so a guy bought all this y8 stuff off of this "target car" the government was selling apparently.... bullet holes all over the thing
The guy had a y8 IM that had a bullet hole straight through the chamber part, in one side, out the other.
He repaired it with JB Weld, sanded it down, painted it, etc. Selling it for $30 with EX injectors.
I know people joke around about JB Weld on here a lot, so I wanted to know if you guys think this repaired IM is safe to use? The holes were just barely bigger than a pencil hole, btw.

why wast your time trying to use a shot up y8 mani? they are cheap get a non shot one
But i cant see how it would really hurt. might cause some turbulance or something. If your going for huge #s any d series mani will suck... maybe you can check to make sure it holds vacuum.
As for the hot temp i have know idea how JB weld holds when it is put through heat cycles that a mani would see.

Seeing that people use it to repair exhaust leaks, I assume it will hold under heat. As long as it is patched up throughly, I see no problem.

Im assuming i shouldnt do this since Im planning on boosting 6-10 psi?
oh and about turbulance, the inside was smoothed out with sand paper
as far as "huge numbers" i only want in the 200hp range.... for now
