Maxspeed Coilovers...ever heard of them?
Maxspeed Coilovers...ever heard of them? Someone posted this in a local forum I visit. I was asking about GC coilovers....
"Don't get GC for your Integra, get maxspeed... they are the same as the skunkworks2 and they are less $$$
My best friend has then w/ kyb agx, and he is very happy.
Ive installed both GC and maxspeed and they both use the same kind of hardware except for the adjustment ring. And they both have a thick wall sleave for extra strength. Both use eibach spring, and the maxspeed's spring rate is good IMO for are quebec roads.
Contact sticky graphix, they can give you a good deal on the maxspeed sleave coilover kit."
Anyone know if their anygood? He does mention that they use the same eiback springs and that they would be better suited to the roads in my area. However, he might just be making money off of the sale... ;(

I have used maxspeed coilovers, they aren't bad at all. My ride was pretty good with em! I am waiting to buy a complete suspension now, but IMO for the money maxspeeds were good. I don't really race or anything, so I am speaking from the standpoint of a daily driver. They are less then Skunks and GC's. Good buy if you're strapped for cash. I have heard people say they are bad though, and can create a harsh ride for your car but that did not happen to me.
If you are going to buy any type of coilovers, make sure you replace your shocks(struts) with some good quality one at the same time. None of these $150-$300 coilover system are progessive rate, so expect a harsh ride. Actually the only company that supposedly makes a affordable progessive rate coilover system are the Weapon R dual circuits at $300. The real coilover system with progressive rate springs cost over $1000+
I suggest regualr lowering springs if you do not plan on changing the struts out a the same time. Plus the alignment gets out of spec when you lower and raise the height.
