i was wondering which one will give better horsepower and torque gains, the Password JDM CF intake or the Comptech intake

yea, ive seen the dyno charts they have posted on their website, does anyone know how much mower the Comptech intake will make?

 

i like the comptech intake with the ice box

 

you can get the same results as the comptech by modifying your stock box IMO. take out the bottom part of the loop in your intake system and get rid of the silencer, put in a decent filter (K&N, spoon...) and your done.

IMO, im dealing with the same complitation and im gonna go with the PW one. proven horse power is what I like about it.

good dyno number , the only thing i dont really like about a CAI though is that I have to take it off in the winter (Puddles=Hydro-lock) but how much would the AEM CAI cost me?

 

password jdm imo, i have it on my motor and i really love it. makes the motor sound nice and good power.

anyone have a price for an ITR 3" AEM intake?

 

I've seen dyno numbers as high as 19whp and 13wtq gains with the comptech ice box...I'm probably going to save my money though and modify the stock box

 

i like the comptech icebox because it has sort of a velocity stack thing on the end of the intake arm...and also it's not as obnoxiously loud as my j's racing intake. i had both.
i miss the comptech. plus it looks stock and you'd pass a visual with it if your hood was popped or sent to the state ref.
the j's has great throttle response though.

I had several intakes and I like my Comptech the most.

 

Comptech. You know that whislting noise you get from short rams or cai? With the comptech intake/icebox combo it makes a sort of humming noise. Very different tone. IT is really quiet but the second vtec crossover happens, it screams. The reason i went for comptech is because i have a b16 which = no torque/lack of throttle response. I definately felt a good difference with the comptech thru the whole rpm range..

i just picked up a brand new 3" itr AEM CAI on ebay for $129 shipped.

it can run from 150-200-up depending if its used or new. I bought mines used for 170. Ebay is the place to go

 

Mostly i see new ones go for $180 or so. but this one dude had a overstock of them and i got the hook up on it for 129

 

does anyone know which one will make more power though? i know the whale dick makes 6.5 whp, but what does the comptech make without the ice box?

dude the password Intake is worthless Hype. Serioulsy invest in a CAI for an ITR with "3 piping or get the Comptech. I assure you both will beat the password hands down

comptech or aem itr cai. I have the comptech, better throttle response, clean and no ricer intake noise! lol.
