Default i want to do a all motor build on my b18c1

I have been saving for the last 2 years now and have 7000 dollars to spend and i want to get above 210 hp at the wheels.(Hopefully run in low 13's??) I know how to do basic bolts ons but i dont know how to take apart and put together the engine.(I have disassembled and put back a lawnmower engine but this dont even come close to enough experience to be able to do it on my own. Here are a list of what i want.

New pistons and connecting rods (hope to bump compression around 12.0, dont know what kind to go with.
P&P head
Possible valve job
Blox intake manifold
Some type of header and high flow cat
skunk 2 stage 2 cams
AEM cam gears
Stage 2 clutch
ferrea springs, retainers..(Dont know what valves to go wit)
New ECU? Hondata???(I have no idea)
Injectors also?

Do you think i might be able to do all this for under $7000 which includes labor to build motor and a tuning session??

All suggestions welcome (Any brands you prefer or suggest different set up)

Also does anyone know of a good engine shop around the milwaukee area. I will probably get the head done at Borchardts (I dont know if they build motors too)

Thanks to all that reply.

Wow I really hope it doesn't cost you 7k since I am looking to build my motor as well. This is what I have in mind:
Rocket m22s/gen1 springs/retainers
supertech nitrited valves
hondata gasket
blox or aebs im
head by portflow
buddy club cam gears
jdm itr 81.5 mm pistons on stock gsr rods
hondata tuned
arp rod bolts
aebs head studs
act hdss/fidanza fw
plus misc rebuild stuff I haven't figured out yet. =P

Viorent Grip! EG, care to ballpark how much you spent?

well..i had the motor for a while..and i'm assuming no one is expecting their cost to include the motor.
so the motor cost aside, along with intake, header, exhuast, intake manifold and t/b (parts i had previous to the build)

i say ball park was about ~$4000
cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainer, new valves, valve job, new seals, forged pistons, forged rods, new bearings, new oil pump, new main seal, arp rod bolts, arp head studs, bore, honed and hot tanked block, micro polished crank, balance everything, assembly/labor, hondata unit, injectors, pro fab IM gasket, new head gasket etc etc..some other parts i'm sure i missed....

you can get away with spending less getting cast parts instead of forged pistons and rods...
consider though I had major help from friends and hook ups for parts and labor

* if your looking to sleeve or port the head...be ready to spend good money for good work

94DOHCGsr-your funds are plenty and can get you a very fine motor. Parts however are very subjective to who you talk to. I would do some major homework, much like I did with my swap, and see what parts work for you personally with what you want your motor to do for you. Many parts have a good reputation, just dont skimp out. Have a good engine builder do your work bc the best parts can crap on you with bad assembly.

there are tons of people on here with built NA motors that vary in specs....

Do you guys think i should just swap in a k20 type r motor instead? Would that net me in the low 13's for 1/4 mile? I know that would be really reliable. Someone in the integra forum said i could get one including: motor, trans, ecu, ps,ac for 5,500. is this right or would it cost a lot more then that. What also is a good website to find a k20 typer motor. Thanks for the help.

You would also have to buy a whole bunch of little things to make it work. I think it ends up at a bit more than 5500. Not sure though, check out http://www.k20a.org/forum/

Or what do you guys (and ladies) think about just doing some head work instead of doing everything in my motor so i could save money for the K20 R swao when i get done with college in a few years.

How much hp do you think i would have at the wheels if i did:
P&P head
skunk 2 stage 2 cams
Intake mani
Header
high flow cat
cat back exhaust
cai
ferrea springs, retainers,
tune
and possible valve job?

Could it possibly get me into the 13's in 1/4 mile?
Sorry for all questions....all suggestions welcome.

He's right, build the B18 motor.....I think 7gs is a lot and you won't need that much at all. You already have an engine. I'd say under 4g you can get a really good result. How much are you hoping to push out of the B18?
As far as me, I'm just going to get a brand new Type R Engne, straight from the dealer w/ ITR Tranny. That'll be 5G right there plus to resleeve it, and all the other internals...I'm hoping to push 250-275+
Boost is fun too but I guess all motor has it's own respect

Let me know what you do so we can compare to see what will be a good setup for the both of us....

instead of asking everyone else to tell you what to put in your car why dont you go through the archives and look at all the builds you can. HT has years and years worth of old posts regarding motor builds that easily lay down 12 second passes.

Well, what if there's something new to the game? Archive might have old info, and maybe people now have better idea. Did you ever think of that????
Beside, if you have nothing to add that's helpful, just ignore.....
