I am going to get an 06 rsx in silver and I know black rims will really do it justice and complete the look, anyone have any suggestions on what should I get or even an estimate in price?

 

Man seriously, the 05 rims are very nice stock. I would power coat them black like im going to do. Then get black colored lug nuts and you will be stylin...

17" rotas are pretty expensive...

 

black rims will not do it justice. a well executed drop would.

 

yea the rims that come wit the car are tyte...im gonna wash my car today so i should post u pic to see how much better a drop makes it look....but the 06 doesnt come in ssm.

 

its 06 tho not 05, and how much would it cost to paint them black?

Im pretty sure 05 and 06 wheels are the same.

I also really like the stock wheels the RSX comes with. If you do feel the need to get new ones look around for a used set of whatever you like. You can get some serious bargains out there. For example I was lookin for some wheels for my Civic just to not have to ride around on steelies all the time and found 4 15" wheels for 100$ total from a friends dad. They are a little beat up but @ 25$ a wheel I couldnt say no. For a RSX you prob want 16"-17" so they prob wont be that cheep if you want something nice but still cheeper than new wheels if you get lucky and search hard.

 

is it a base or type s? do you want a light wheel or does it not matter?

As for me, i have a base and could use light wheels. The gun metal rota slips im getting will go good with my taffeta base.

 

I would suggest, slamming the car with some mugen ss's then see if you want to paint them... Car looks really good drop'd. Try that first.

fyi, the mugen ss will not "slam" the car, just take it down a little.
