Default swapped crx

please let me know what you would do and why between the 88-91 b16a on hmotors or the 92-95 b16a and yes i have heard hydraulic is better and that obd1 is easier to tune but please be honest if it is worth it for the money difference and what else would be needed for each swap. thanks

best idea with b16 swap dont
order up a gsr you'll be much happier or if you have a place that can make one or you can yourself go lsvtec

honestly with b16s get the gen1 motor wire her up to obd1 less work same gains *I think rywire has a harness just for that swap too*

with the money you'll fork out for a b16 gen 2 its not worth it you'd need to either convert your tranny to cable or your car for hyrdo.

i'm not 100% sure on this but don't the 92-95 b16a's come with 170 hp? that would be the only big advantage i can think of. i don't know if 10 hp is worth the extra $$$, but if you think it is then go ahead.

like ace said go with the gsr or lsvtec you'll be much happier with it if I could do it over again I would go with the gsr not the b16. However it is still fun to drive no doubt.

the only reason an ls/vtec wont last is because it isnt built right and people revving them to high. It is still an all honda motor

Basically rebuild the bottom end with oem parts. Gsr oil pump, water pump, pistons (not really necesary) but the main thing is making sure the head gets enough oil. Use the golden eagle ls/vtec kit and take your time doing it. I got a friend thats got an ls/vtec integra thats been running strong for about 22,000 miles now.
