i was looking at hmotorsonline and i saw that they have several b16 for sale. what would be the difference between B16A 88-91 (SiR I), the B16A 92-93 Integra (XSi) and the B16A 92-95 (SiR-II)

mind u the motor is going to be put into a 94 civic coupe. just wanted to know what was the difference and what would be the best one to get.

i am not sure on the differences between the crx sir and the x-si. but if you are swapping into a 94, to save a whole lot of heartache, get the sirII swap. it is plug and play. plus the fact that the sirI and x-si are cable trannies. the sirII is a hydro trans and will swap much easier.

i kno that the number 2 b16 has a hydro tranny and the 88-91 is a cable tranny and u probably want the b16-II cuse ur car is hydro mostlikely and the xsi i dont remmber i heard of that but forgot ohhh well i like single cams dont laf!!!!!

well there is a big price difference in each. the tranny would be the differnce?? how about i piece together my own b16, would that be cheaper or more money??

no it woud not be cheaper.the newer b16s models with out a cable tranny have 10 more hp.the xsi came from a interga xsi from japan the also have 170 hp instead of the b16's that came from the civis wich had 160 hp.

also what would be the best parts to get if i decide to go all motor.
what would be a set of good cams, cam gears, pistons, rods etc etc etc.

all motor costs way to much money for less performance than would could be had with forced induction.

get the SiRII and make sure your wiring harness is prepped for a det. sensor

yea but all motor would be more expensive but in the end it would be efficent than a turbo. a turbo is to much money to maintain.

An N/A motor setup will give you your hardaches as well. Building a fast car is not cheap no matter which way you tackle it.

turbo is WAY less money though.

SIRI = OBD0 motor, and tranny is cable.
XS-I = OBD1 motor and tranny is cable (Good for 88-91 cars that want to convert to OBD1 but not to hydro tranny)
SIR II = OBD1 motor and Hydro Tranny, what you want for your civic.

so the the best thing to do is get the sir II, which i am going to get.
can anyone help me to tell me what are some good parts to get if i decide to go all motor

What like cams, pistons, rods, etc? You want us to tell you what to use to build your motor? Why not research and build your own.
