Default Carbon fiber hood

4th gen hoods are heavy and i was wondering what the weight differance is between an oem hood and a vis oem style hood is more or less

i dislike vis completely. bad service, bad fitment.

FIber Image all the way. you truely get what you pay for.

Just wondering, are the VIS CF hoods the cheap ones that are just fiberglass wrapped in CF?

I heard companies do that. I want to know what company make genuine CF hoods, not like the ones listed above.

sorry to input this.. but i have 5th gen.. with vis cf hood. and you wouldn't believe the difference...i would say literally 30+lbs. i can pick up the cf hood with 3 fingers..

it would be exactly half on 6 gen civic hoods

if you go with CF.... use hood pins. May look rice but it's better than having the hood slam your windsheild when you're doing 70 down the interstate

ok i have the VSII CF hood...and although bouncing jsut slightly it has not ever become unlatched.

I have a 93 like you see in my ava....i weighed the stock and the CF hood i have and there is a 37.8 pound differance.

[B]My VIS CF hood fit perfect. only thing i had to do was move the latching bracket up 1/4 of an inch so it latched.
