I was wondering if anyone is running a 190 walbro in crx. after a visit to the docs office, I turned on the ignition to my crx and I heard a grinding noise from the tank. So turned the ignition off and back on the same noise was still there .I paid no attention to it until I stopped off to get some gas. after pumping gas my car then did want to start but the fuel pump stop make that wierd noise I heard earlier from the tank. The car runs fine but the noise is not pleasant. any input would be great thanks peps

 

Sounds like it might not be priming at its full potential? Contact walbro its most likely defective.

 

It does it when the gas is getting low. Mine does the same thing (255). Not quite positive what it is, sucking up a little air, echoing in the tank, not sure, but it's been doing it for years and it's been fine.

 

mine (190) did that for a few tanks when it got low. first tank, it started at about 3/4 full, second tank a little less, etc, then for about 3 or 4 tanks it only made that noise below 1/4 tank, now it's virtually gone... i've had it installed for about 3 months. so hopefully yours will get better. no idea what it is though, it's really annoying.

 

My tank had about 2gals in it when made the noise .I keep an ear out for the while driving tonoght but nothing else happend. Aslong as it runs Im happy
