Default injector problem..

ok this is for a friend btw.. The story is, he thought it would be smart to put 450cc injectors on his stock b16 motor, just to see if it did anything.. and well it did.. now his motor wont start lol.. he put back the stock ones and it still wont.. Im just wondering what the case is cause he's freaking out..lol

he probably flooded the engine... you can't use larger injectors without having the proper ECU/tune for those injectors. the ecu numbers are duty cycle and a bigger injector will pour in a lot more gas at the same duty cycle.. in his case, twice as much

the other thing, if he didn't have a resistor box/resistors installed for the injectors he might've burned something, such as the ecu itself (there are 450cc that can be installed without a resistor box.depends which kind he has)

my first guess would be a flooded engine though... check this out: http://www.rcnitro.com/article...e.asp

How exactly did he hook them up?

Injectors only get power and signal. Connected straight to the ecu then to a connector thats connected to the main relay.

If the fuel pump doesnt prime check the main relay.

But like said he probably flooded the engine. Take out the spark plugs and let the car sit over night. check it in the morning.
