////B SERIES ENGINE SWAP QUESTIONS\\\\\\
hey
my friend was telling me about his swap set up that he is putting into his EG hatch, and he said that he is getting a b18c1 motor but with a b16a2 head? he said that with the b16 head it would allow for higher revving/rpm's?
so i looked up on this manual i have on honda engines and it said that the B18 has higher RPM's then the B16a2?
so does he like not know what hes talking about or is this a true fact?
also what seems to be the better set up for a swap into an EG the B18C1 or the B16A2?
thank you

I believe so that the B18 rev's higher than the B16, and The B18 is most DEF a better swap. Plus a B18 with a B16 head is a Poormans Type R I believe.
the b16 head flows better than the b18c1 but it wont do **** on a gsr block unless you put in itr or jdm b16 pistons or hell if you got $$$ for race gas then ctr pistons.
both engines rev just as high as eachother
and its not a ghetto type r, its a poor mans type r get right

BAHHHHH try again
B16's (especially the B16B) are capable of revving higher in stock form than B18's
the poormans's R is a GSR bottom end with ITR pistons and an ITR head on it.
I suggest a GSR or a R swap and if you like the revability get a B16B
