Default Fuel Gauge

Hey guys

I always gas up when my tank reads just about empty. I've been noticing that every time I gas up, it is almost 12 gallons put into my tank. Sense would dictate that the tank, is thus, 12 gallons in volume. However, I was looking at the specs one night and saw that in my manual, the 5th gen Prelude holds 15.9 gallons. Is this normal, or is something wrong with my lude? If something is wrong, how do I fix it?

Thanks!

Yeah, when it's on 'E' you still have like 2-3 gallons. Honda doesn't want you to burn out your fuel pump.
