long story short i bought a new tranny case because i hit a crater and cracked mine. turns out the case i bought is cracked too..




is this thing still useable? or am i SOL.

 

From the pictures it doesnt look like it had any cracks through the housing. I assume this was from a busted diff. Pictures only show so much,so id get a second opinion with someone that can put their hands on it. As long as the housing isnt cracked and the bearing housing is good...it should be fine. Make sure there is no raced gouges that will touch the diff.
