if its a pancake style (meaning its flat and has 5-6 holes) then no is the answer on the proportioning valve. the m/c will if your using the civic booster. i would go 1" integra instead of this set up.. you wont feel any difference with any 15/16..
1" is night and day... trust me i did a face plant the first stomp on my brake pedal..
:i already see litterbox pm'img me on this so im getting in before that

dont mean to thread jack, but with the "1 inch" teg m/c, will it bolt up to my current brake booster (stock '94cx), or do i need to upgrade that as well? i love the way it stops now, teg knuckles and new calipers and aftermarket rotors, and stops great, but i can always go for more

1991 civic ex 4dr master cyl is 15/16 bolts up to civic booster and no need to reflare lines for teg master/booster (rs mc/bb requires no flaring).

yea as litterbox said civic=civic teg=teg
and this set up is not the best..... 1" 98+ integra with abs with integra booster requires no reflaring either and much better response.
i know this from going from 13/15>15/16> 1" i wasted money and time. do it right the first with 1" even if you dont enlarge your calipers to integra you will feel instant difference in pedal feel. like i said faceplants are a breeze..

good insight.... i went with DC integra brakes and 4030 prop valve (DA integ, 4 wheel disc). i went the cheaper route with just the civic 91EX MC. i was VERY happy with the results. i had no trouble locking up the brakes. however, if i had the $$ and time, i would have gone with integ MC and BB.
**edit**
the stock 13/16 MC had an UNSAFE amount of pedal travel. if you do go with integ brakes alll around, you need to upgrade the mc

bullshit, you will feel a HUGE difference over a stock unit. You can actually get a 15/16ths off of a 91 EX civic and it shoudl bolt right up but I would not use it with a stock booster.
The best setup to use is an ITR MC / BB and you do not need a different proportioning valve. The proportioning valve for drum brakes allows the pressure to equalize before pressure is applied to all 4 wheels. When you have a caliper in the rear instead of a wheel cylinder then the pressure is not alleviated by a return spring on the drum brake pads. This means that no gap is lost fromt eh pads and friction surface therefore there will not be a need for pressure equalization. Your stock prop. valve is an automatic unit and will be able to differentiate the difference and will have no adverse effect on braking. There will be no lag in rear brake application like the rumors and misinformed indivuals will tell you.
There are tons of people in Honda Challenge racing with stock drum prop valves racing with 4 wheel disc. If the prop valve adversely effected the vehicle, none of them would even touch the stock unit, except to remove it.

well the reason i ask, is because i did a rear disc swap and don't need the items i mentioned. some guy is doing a rear disc swap in his 92-95 civic, so i would like to sell the em1 stuff i have to him since i don't need it. so in short the m/c will work if he keeps his brake booster? the prop valve has 4 actual holes that go into the valve..
the EM1 MC WILL NOT workk with the civic booster!
that was stated like five times already. the only larger MC that will work is the 91 civic EX with 4 wheel disc

So if you get an abs 1in. teg master cylinder, it will bolt right up to the rs 40/40 prop and teg booster? no reflaring?
I just want to avoid reflaring.
