Default Batteries for Honda Civic

I replaced the battery for my 2000 Honda Civic (with only 29000 miles on it) with a new DuraLast battery from AutoZone yesterday. My car died when I braked at a red light only 50 meters away from AutoZone. I restarted it and drove back to Autozone and I requested autozone to replace it with another new battery (they did it unwillingly, saying there was nothing wrong with the new battery). My Honda then died again after driving for 6 miles when I braked a little when I was turning at thje crossroads. When when the car died, it was kind of shaky

Today I drove it to work, it did not have any problem. But I am afraid for it to happen again. Could anyone help and tell me what is wrong ? Thanks so much.

The car shaked as if too tired to go on, then the engines stopped and "battery and oil "indicator lights came on. I had to re-crank it.

The AutoZone guy tested the battery and the power system (waiting for some kind of CODES to be displayed), he said there was nothing wrong. I guess there was nothing wrong with the alternator, otherwise he would have refused to replace the new battery with another new battery by arguing that my alternator is bad.

Are you taking it out of gear when braking?

Also, check all the grounds.

It should not be out of gear. It is relatively a new car (only 29000 miles) and it has never had any problem until we changed the battery. (We have been advised to repalce the old battery as it has been for 5 years). If we did not go to change the battery, we would be still running smoothly.

The AutoZone guy was testing the electric system under the dash board. It seems that a code (like code red) may tell him what problem it was. He did not see any codes (That was what he said), which seemed to mean that the electric system has no problems.
