For all you Lojack equiped ITR owners...
I think I thought of a "special" place to hide a Lojack, IM me if interested in my idea.
Side Note...due to the overwhelming response I will only answer those who I recognize on this board as having an ITR, or those who have had their’s stolen- in order to help them protect their future investment and pass the word on to other ITR owners.

I was under the impression that you are not allowed to know where it is installed? 4 of my friends have lojack, and when the guy came to install them, they were not allowed to watch. I assume they were not allowed to, so that they can't sell the car, and steal it back.
i found it my friends car when i was looking something i dropped but i don't know if it's in the same place as every other car probably not but i havn't told a soul where it was except for the owner of the car

Well, your not allowed to watch them insall it. According to the thefts here of cars with lojack they aren't hiding them well enough. If you can find your lojack in a matter of minuets how fast do you think a professional thief can find it. Thats why I thought of my "special" place.

that's a good thought, can they search for GPS signals and just follow them to find cars with the lojack? then again there may be too many out there to try to follow and search.
I have returned a shiet load of IM's to people I recognize as having or had ITR's and seeing that this is a pretty tight knit group of ITR owners I feel the information will spread to the right people. I was not able to Return everyone’s IM and do not wish to reveal my spot to any potential thieves (*** You). Feel free to improve/expand upon my idea for those of you who know. For those who do know hit me back with your thoughts/improvements - whatever.

true thieves know anyway u aint really takin a bite out of crime. if people really want your **** they will have it. good thieves will have what the want and ditch it before that thing is activated. its a good safety measure but dont think its gonna stop everything.
Ditch it, huh, how is a thief gonna ditch it when he doesn't even know if the vehicle has one, sure maybe he ditched the shell but did he ditch the lojack? Hmm, we all know the shell of the car is not where they make there money, otherwise you would never find a striped shell. Obviously this post pertains to any vehicle. The reason I say I'm giving it out to R members is because there have been 8 stolen in the last week and a half, these are limited production cars and I don’t think R owners are going to take the info to go steal another R or EG or something.
When is the last time you heard a thief stealing a civic and then going to the dealer and buying Type R motor, suspension and interior?
Ahh, just doesn't get it. So your telling me more people steal $6,000 Civics and then go spend $10, 000 at the dealer for Type R motor, suspension and driveline? I've had it wrong this whole time. I thought most people were buying the Civics and then stealing Type R stuff, my bad.

you are wrong about itr's being stolen more
YES there are allot more stolen civics than there are integra (but integra's are stolen pretty often too) and itr's stolen! for one there are allot more civics running around the streets, and that gives a more demand on civic parts, so it is more common to see a civic than an itr. not everyone is into the peformance aspect of this hobby, so not everyone wants itr parts. most civics that are stolen become parts-cars that theives use to fix damaged items on their civics or to sell to people and body shops who need parts for repairs.
another example is my car, i have a 2000 si, lots of theives are after my car for the fact that it comes with parts that other civics don't come with, like the motor , guage cluster, wheels, four wheel disk brakes, front lower control arms, and other parts that are exclusive to my car, just like how theives are stealing itr's for their exclusive parts, but there are more civic si's around than itr's, so that gives theives a better chance to steal a civic si than an itr cause there are more around.
just because your car is rare doesn't mean they are the most often cars that are stolen. its the more common cars (accords camrys, and civics) that are stolen because they become parts-cars for body shops. i have a couple friends who work at body shops and both tell me that some of the privately owned body shops would rather pay for the stolen used parts then buy expensive new parts, so that they can pocket a little more money then they would have if they had bought new parts.
NOT EVERYBOY WHO STEALS CARS DO IT TO HAVE PERFORMANCE PARTS!!!

Nice post.
1. Where did I ever say Type R's are stolen more than civics? Reread post again.
2. We happened to be talking about where most of the stolen R parts go and the performance aspects of those parts as they relate to the cars in which they find homes in.
3. Your op-ed on bodyshops and stolen car parts really isn't any big news. I’ve been in the automobile insurance industry for quite some time
4.It's gonna be hard for a body shop to pass off a B18C5 as a B18C1 to save a buck.
5.I don't foresee a shortage of Civics in the near future.
All in all, cars are stolen for numerous reasons, it just so happens allot of R's from this msg board are being stolen lately; therefore I posted about my idea here.
