Default AEM Civic Brake Pads Worth It?

I'll be needing some new front brake pads for my 99 ex. I'm looking for something better than OEM thats affordable and actually worth getting. AEM BIG Brakes prices are outta range. I read about the AEM Brakes pads and saw some good things on their site. Wanted to see if anyone has had experience iwth them and if its worth it. Appreciate any help..while i'm at it..any suggestions on rotors? oem ones are nasty looking...thinking of some slotted rotors..list some recommendations

I have AEM brake pads, I like them, alot of dust wear though.

As for rotors, go with Brembo blanks, can't go wrong there

Axxis Ultimate pads w/ the cheapest rotors you can find, if you need new rotors. Good brake fluid (valvoline super syn) w/ a good flush and rear drums adjusted.

You will be amazed w/ your brakes.

i used AEM brake pads before on my eg hatch and i liked them. Right now i went to AKEBONO and bought a set front and rear calipers for a 93 Civic Si and changed all brake lines and front and Rear BREMBO Cross Drilled Rotors. HUGE Difference in braking. Wainting in like for all new Akebono Tuner Series Brake Kits... Be On The Alert

The best pads that you can get is Carbotech and the best rotors to get for consistant and relaible braking is Brembo. They have been doing brakes for a VERY long time and if they are good enough for Porsche factory race cars then they are good enough for any civic you can throw at it.
