I kinda wonder when I see pictures of hatches with 5 lug conversions. Sometimes, I also wonder if they do it just to have the 5 lugs and the ITR wheels.

how is a hybrid a form of rice, the definition of rice is making a car look fast when in reality the car isn't fast, so an itr motor in a civic isn't fast, but an itr motor in an itr (heavier chasis) is fast? You just don't make any damn sense.

unless they're making 300-400 hp, 5 lug isn't functional, so the only other reason they would go 5 lug is for the larger brakes or the wheels, but since www.fastbrakes.com is around, there isn't a need to buy a whole 5 lug conv unless you just want the wheels and the 5 lug look, now thats rice.

ricer who wants itr wheels so ricer buys itr 5 lug brakes and wheels *stolen*
ricer who wants itr interior so ricer buys itr interior *stolen*
ricer should have just bought a real itr *not stolen*
(wont be a ricer if he/she owns a real itr with itr parts)

but hybrids definately is a leading cause of ITR theft...and theft in general.

"i want ITR interior for my hatchcrap civic...." etc.

i've never been too much of a fan of civics...and i still do consider them econoboxes. ... the new ones i refer to as minifridge on wheels....
hybrids isn't the leading cause of theft, its dumb *** low life sons of bitches who could care less how they aquire their parts. Thats like saying americans were responsible for the sept 11th attacks. Americans did things other countries didn't like so they bombed us, civics have motors owners don't like, so civic owners get rid of them in favor of itr motors. So you don't like civics, so what, your itr was built on the civic/teg chasis. So what if somebody realizes that racing is all about power to weight ratio on a good chasis? Are you saying you wouldn't take your ITR lighter if you could?

demand for itr parts
albeit hot or not
brings theft
simple as that
a ricers who finds cheap itr parts obviously would buy them

I just couldn't imagine having an ITR one day, getting it stolen the next and then having my car parts sold just so a civic hatch can

"maybe they do it to stop in less than 115 feet from 60 miles an hour or maybe they do it to destroy arrogant bastards like you out on the track"

Watch out ITR owners. The stealing is getting worse and worse.

i think you guys are taking it out on the hybrids for no reason, there are lots of people who love the body of the civic and the soul of an integra , what represents and itr , is not just about looks .cause is not that different then a gsr , (to the eyes of regular people) but is also what represents , one of the best motors ever built ,and the braking system that is beatifully design ! also theres people who work there *** off to improve there cars . unfortuanally to every sport you get those type of people that like to benefit from doing easy things .which is wrong taking any ones hard work and time spend in a project !

Well, I own both a hybrid and an ITR and this thread kinda disgusts me.

A hybrid is NOT fucken RICE. Those of you that think that can go **** off. I love my hybrid and have put a lot of work into it. When I'm done with it...it will own my ITR on the roadcourse, dragstrip, whatever.

I would never hate on my ITR. I love the car and it's the best car I could buy for under $25k for sure. I just can't justify racing my nice, new car. If I wreck the hatch I'm not out much. The shell can be replaced.

I hope you all understand what I'm saying. It takes $$ to make a hybrid Civic to run with an ITR (on the roadcourse definately), but I think it'll be worth it for me.

All hybrids are not necessarily hot motors, but all hot motors are in hybrids.

I have receipts for my motor. I can't say that for all hybrids (which disgusts me also).

type r owners are getting really goddamn arrogant about theft. They act like every part in their car is so crucial and envied by everyone in the scene. Get over your selves!

okay guys...let's chill the **** out here.

DON'T even **** off the ITR owners (myself included). The theft "IS" out of control. If you owned one you'd understand. Please don't even bring up the insurance issue...yeah we can file insurance and get a check, but it would fucken SUCK to have this **** happen to you.

That's why they get stolen so often -- because they are envied by a LOT of people in the scene. Maybe not everybody. But enough to make theft a big problem. We have a lot of jealous broke people out there who can't afford to buy parts for their cars, so they have to steal them. That's pretty sad.
