Default How's this for a new rider??

Ok so I'm looking for opinions/comments/criticism. So kind of on a side note kind of part of the story; the other day I was kinda pissed cause I found out my car has a crack in the radiator right after I just fixed something else and I'm moving out tomorrow and just slowly running out of money. It's kinda pretty much gay. Anyways, I decided it was time for some motorcycle therapy so I hit the twisties out by the lake 45 mins from my house. so 2 hours and 110 miles later, I came home, clear of mind and with a smile on my face.
Point of the story, my bike kinda felt wobbly in the corners on the way back after I turned around and I think my back wheel came unaligned as I still don't have it in tip-top shape after my wreck. But on the way around the first time it was riding prime and when I got home I found my chicken strips down to about 1/2 inch. I've only been riding for about a month or so and in that month I've put over 500 miles on my bike. I've just been working on feeling the bike, getting my confidence up and knowing when I'm pushing too hard before I actually do. Is 1/2 inch good or meh or what?? Thanks guys.

I don't really understand what your question is/what you're looking for.
If you're asking if 1/2 chicken strips are impressive or something, it's doesnt' really matter how big your chicken strips are. You could be going just as fast as someone who has no chicken strips, because maybe you're getting out of the bike more.
I bought my bike may 20th, started riding it july 1st, and have put 4700 miles on it, with no chicken strips.

its when you get over confident **** happens...1/2 inch means you can still lean the bike over more but i don't recommend you doing that since you've only been riding for a month. just get the feel for your bike and take it slow. your chicken strips will go away once you stop caring about them.

The post is just kinda like looking for guidance from the more experienced riders. My chicken strips aren't the only thing on my mind. They're the last thing on my mind actually, I just noticed them when I got off the bike. Getting overconfident was the cause of my previous wreck just about a month ago. I was wondering if 1/2 inch was a good amount of lean for a month old rider. My main concern is feeling my bike without pushing it super hard, just looking for some feedback/commentary.

Chicken strips are a great measure of how much the bike is leaning.

Save the max-leaning for track days. Grinding hard parts on surface street can lead to asphalt surfing.

Got my bike in January with 4k miles on the clock. Didn't ride it much until March. Put on over 12,000 miles in the past 7 months.

Don't give much credit too your chicken strips. Rather look at the rubber that you are using. Is it balling? Pitting? These would be a better indication of your riding indicating use of throttle during a lean and coming out of your turns, etc......instead of just telling you how much you lean.

It's not fun at trackdays either
