I'll go ahead and advise you not to do it. You're going to regret it.

I'm looking for the same, my car came with it removed and i just want to make sure everything is out, i know for sure the blower thing under the passenger side dash isn't out. Also anyone weigh it the whole system when taken out? Or at least the blower?

Edit: And is Heating the same stuff or is that other things also?

If you take it out get the freon taking out perfessionally so you dont pay the 10,000 dollar fine. Then start taking everything appart. Simple enough huh?

it might take off 40lbs. i dont know what you are driving but i dont think that youd even feel a difference. if weight is that much of a concern then go for it, but if your lookin for reducing the parasitic loss on the engine then IMO, keep it. its not worth it. if you are still concerned with it then take the belt off of it

There are two "nipples" on the A/C lines by the condensor. One is a high pressure and the other one is a low pressure. That's besides the point though. Remove the caps, press a screw driver in the nipples, and the freon will start coming out. It's illegal and unhealthy for the environment. If you decide to go this route though, put a towel on top of the lines so you don't get any of it on you, wear long sleeves, and cover your face or at least your eyes.

The belt is easy. You have to remove the compressor, tensioner and A/C bracket in order to remove the belt, or just cut the damn thing if you feel like it.

a better way is to remove the a/c hose that is attached to the compressor. i think its either a 10 or 12 mm nut. slowly turn it once you hear it releasing just walk away and come back in a bit. i dont recommend it this way either, i would take it to a certified mechanic to get the freon pumped out. much cheaner. if you go with the screwdriver way becareful the freon will give you burn. you will know what i mean. good luck.

cause At 17 years old, the si was perfect for me, didn't have to do **** but bolt-ons and lower it. At 22, with a g35 to drive daily, the Si is just a toy that I can play with whenever I feel like it. turboed b16, jdm type R, all motor build up. Whatever I want, whenever I want. Haven't even driven the car for a year, and planned on selling it. Now it's just something to play with, ac...gone....cruise...gone...everything behind the front seats...gone. Why buy a cx hatch and turn it into something that makes it not a cx hatch anymore? (maybe it was a bad example, but the same **** really)
