Default Question for all who have the sparco 'grip' pedals

I just bought these. I love them. I haven't installed them yet. I had a question to others who have these pedals. Did you guys put the grip 'buttons' onto your pedals or did you just leave them off? If you left them off, how's the grip w/o the grip buttons.

It's either buttons:

or ....

no buttons:

Keep them off the gas pedal... put them on the break and clutch. Dont ask, just trust and enjoy the feel... Besides, if you dont like it, you can always take em off/put em on later...

That is so true man. My fingers still hurt from constant pushing in of buttons. It would have been nice if Sparco did that for us. Hah.

Hell yeah! Man were those hard to put on! I had to cut some rubber off too and a few of them popped out and are now lost.

That sucks that you're missing some buttons man. I tried soaking the buttons in some soap (Dawn) and then plugging them in. It sorta helped, but it was hard still because those lil bastards keep slipping around.

I bought them, but the fact that you had to drill the suckers on didn't appeal to me so I bought some RAZO ones intsead. Still the have the Grips in mint, never used, all buttons installed condition if anyone is interested.

see if this works..if not, i will upload them all to skafia

I kept the grips in all of the pedals, it helps a TREMENDOUS amount in the grip, when i used to drive the car in the winter i wouldn't lose grip even with snow and ice on my shoes !!

drilling them is a bitch, just take your time. Also, for the rubber grips, i found that if you put 4 or 5 of them at a time in a small dish with water, then microwave it for like 45 seconds, that they become really pliable.

Those are some good looking pedals...I don't see how you keep a grip on them when they get wet though.
