Heh, we had plenty of we-todd-did training going on so I think we're all ready for the entry exam (Now that I've got this last bolt halfway off, one of you guys wanna hold onto the manifold before I crush my skull? Oh, did you want anti-seize on those bolts we just torqued down? Umm, I think your shift **** is broken. Did you torque those lug nuts down? Yeah. With what? Uhh...my hands...) I won't name names, but let's just say that's one for each of us . Can't wait to see those pics Aleph! What a fun day, can't wait 'till tomorrow!

i really wish we'd gotten video of the in-warehouse drifting...who'd a thunk smooth concrete makes such a great surface for low-speed handbrake shennanigans?

Just got back now from "breaking in" the Header..
my ITR is mad now.. Can't wait to see the number tomorrow..
but probably my 0-60 or 1/4 miles will be bad with the C's.. it's just a bit weird.. my release on the clutch is so slow compared to the gear change.. and if I release it real hard, there's that "JDUG" sound of the Clutch...
(MrBite knows that sound since he sat with me dragging at keystone..)
anyway.. Sleep now.. long and fun day ahead of us..

gonna charge my Handycam now.....

this, from the SPOON sports poster child (hint: the answer's in that sentence! and it's not a "poster" header!)

Yos,

I'm glad to see you liking your header. Told you I get it to you in time for the dyno but I would take it to a different dyno shop because they dyno your on and friends where on sounds like it was givening strange #'s.

I'm sure your car should now sound like some mad bees under the hood during vtec range now. Now we just need to get you exhaust for the Spoon header hehe

I don't think the mustang dyno gives strange numbers, it's remarkably consistent....you can do 5 runs in a row, and they'll be on top of each other, virtually no variation. We did a stock R first to get a kind of baseline, it was stronger than the 2 modded Rs by a few HP, even the one that had been dyno tuned at another dyno. Other cars there were in line as well, the Si, the GS-R motor in the hybrid, the CL-S was a little weak compared to the supposedly less powerful M3, but the auto Tranny in the CLS may have had something to do with that. On the great header test, was the stock exhuast being used? Or was it just the header and an open test pipe? That was a mustang dyno too (and since his earlier pre-mod, power-steering & AC removal baseline was 155, i'm guessing it was a similar machine to the one at Speednation, where every stock R i've seen is in the 155 range give or take a couple of HP).

Basically, There's no gain for my R...
(There's a baseline VS Modded Curve that I compared, that looked exactly alike!!)
now, this probably because of the Stock Cat Back..
at least this is a weight reduction...
I/H/E... I need I and E later...(much2 later)...

The header is a beauty, and i'm actually debating which one i'll get (more to loose weight after adding the rollbar than to gain power), but i'm also wondering if i can actually gain some power...does anyone buy non-JDM sized collectors anymore?

M-Pacts are stil Mechanix gloves

And yes, goggles would've been very nice, they should be first on the list when you're preparing for wrenching on a car
