Default Is there gonna be a 07 RSX TYPE S

Hey I went to the Acura Dealer today and i was talking to them about the RSX-TYPE S. He said there makin a 07 Totally Redone. I would seem its a true idea because of the new SI coming so Acura gotta be on top even though there the same company any concepts or facts on these guys?

Nope someone posted earlier about an 06 s2000, so im sure acura has something in mind. Keep in mind guys, acura is the leading honda in the U.S. So Acura would be dumb not to have a car faster than the 06 si. Think about it, would it make sense to stop production on the rsx and stop using that engine? Why not use it on a different car and replace the engine with a new one? Hehe I can't wait to see what Acura has in store. I have an 05 type S and its the best car I have ever driven and I've driven quite a few. Everyday I drive it, I like it more and more.
Honda = Breathtaking.

I'll believe it the day I see it. But a totally redesigned 07 RSX was announced on the Motor Trend website.

Yeah, and how many times did MT say Honda was bringing over a Civic Type R? Right....MT doesn't have much credibility IMO.

These sites might be accurate guys, maybe the companies are holding releasing the cars until they are 100% sure they will fit the market they are selling them to. Like whether or not to put leather in the rsx type S instead of lsd and HID's was prob the fact that older people drive the car too and would rather have leather, my opinion is old people should not drive this car and buy a damn TL. I mean Geeze leather = waste of money. I mean most of us replace the dang leather with racing seats anyway. Bad move on Acura end. Luxury is fine, but save it for the TL's that isn't a track car. Just my .02.
Honda = almost got the Type S right...

Acura is known as luxury, not tracking. The only car that they ever did that with was the DC2R and they lost money on every one they sold.

Dude think about it....
If Acura actually brought the Dc5 ITR over to the states, your telling me you would not buy one? Even if it was 28k who the Crap cares. I love the looks of the wing and wheels and the fact that it has ITR stickers on the side. That car is drop over gorgeous. I think it would be in Acura's best interest to bring it state side. Just think about it, every rsx owner rushin to the dealerships....omg. It would be like Christmas eve in a Toys R Us in New York City. Haha. Im sure Acura has something planned...
Honda = Oh wait just drooled a little

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> What Edmunds.com Says: Rumors that the RSX would be dropped from production are totally unfounded as Acura plans a full redesign of the vehicle for 2007.

What We Know: There appears to be little justification behind recent speculation that Acura would be phasing this small coupe out of production, as the company plans a redesign of the vehicle which could appear on the market as early as 2006. The 2007 RSX will be fully redesigned on its current chassis, which will probably be tweaked in lieu of a replacement. The vehicle will get all-new sheet metal and possibly a revised cabin. Hopefully, Acura will do something to upgrade the vehicle's 2.0-liter inline four as well. </TD></TR></TABLE>

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">After many rumors that the RSX model would be dropped from the Honda/Acura line of cars, Honda officially announced that the 2007 Acura RSX will not only still be around, but it will have an all new design. No photographs have been leaked yet of what the new 2007 RSX will look like, but I will be sure to put them up when they become available.

Perhaps Honda is going to release a new engine line as well... doubtful, but possible. They really threw me off with the 2008 Acura NSX with a V10 motor. After a move like that, who knows what to expect?!</TD></TR></TABLE>

Now I dunno what to believe.....

The model matrix still shows an end to the DC5 after the 2006 model run.

I've heard all kinds of rumours, including a double wishbone, higher HP coupe version of the TSX being badged to take the place of the DC5 in the Acura USDM model lineup.

If that's the direction they take, I might actually finally buy a new car.

To be honest, I don't think Honda itself knows right this second what the 2007 model year holds in store for USDM.

knighton has the same story i have, i was told they "will" (rofl) make a "2-door TSX" to replace the rsx, no word about a type s or anything just by word of mouf from the dealer, and as far as the nsx goes, i was also told a bustier engine to an increase of around 400 hp but not hand assembled dropping the price to a lil over the price of the RL

I really wish Acura would take into account that the new Type R if there is one, should have a lower design, not tall like the rsx, more like the dc2. Double wishbone, an engine with Forged Internals that come stock to rev to 9.5k, and LSD, and some 18' rims and have all the type R stickers one would expect. They should not be worried about gas milage, so give us some power!!!! Drop leather, give us the recaro and one sweet body kit. There should be super high security systems like some type of wheel lock like steering wheel lock, so it can't be towed, and there should be laser cut keys, but no key holes in doors, not even have door handles . The car should come with chips built into the chassis that can't be removed for GPS tracking. They really should start making a car for a specific purpose. Make it from factory made to woop some tail, and get rid of un necessary weight. Im drooling just thinking about it...
They could market it like this:
The all new totally redesigned 2007 Acura Integra Type R.
"All you need to do now, is wake up and come test drive it."

Honda =

Sorry might have went a bit overboard. But you get the idea. I just love how the dc2 looks with the type R decals on the side of the car. Very clean. Also 18 in rims would be nice. The body kit was just a thought. Sorry if i've offended you...
Anyone have any vagasil? I think hes dry...

^^

sorry no body kit. i'd rather have the Acura OEM kit, or the JDM kit, also the C-west lip kit would do fine. there must be some excuse that Honda cant bring the real dc5-r, right? i think if there was none they would've brought it and sold it.

the 05-06 is the closest thing to a dc5 itr that we will ever have, i doubt it will ever come back to the states.
