Default Car paint

Hey guys my 99 ex coupe was hit.

well if insurance does not pay for it to be repainted. I will I was thinking about just getting it black again but maybe white. It has black leather. So does anyone recommend a color or have a good pic of a good color on an accord?

If you didn't cause the accident.... the insurance will pay for the damages caused to your car... but in no case, would pay to change the color!
If you caused the accident, you pay for your damage and.... you choose if you want a color change or not!
I work with collision repair and auto painting, and I know that if you fix the damaged area, and get the car repainted (same color or not), the difference won't be so great if you just get the damaged area fixed. Plus, color matching after 6 years in your case, may not be perfect!

the insurance WILL pay for ANY damages CAUSED by the accident!
But, if you want to change the color, that is going to come out of your own pocket!
Example: car damages = 600 dollars (including new bumper, headlight and repaint the damaged area). That will be covered by the insurance! Now the color change... let's say would cost 400 (..entire car...)... then.. .the total would be 1000, and the insurance pays for 600 and you pay the additional 400!

See if you can work out a deal with the bodyshop who's doing the repairs if you can pay the difference between the insurance payoff and the cost of the color change. If it's a really "good" body shop, they'll know how to do this.

The way insurance works:
If another guy hits you: his liability insurance pays for your repairs - no deductable

If you caused the problem: your comprehensive (fire / theft / collision) will pay for it (assuming you've got comprehensive), but you'll be responcible for the deductable.

Well I am paying 250 for my uninsured motorist deductible. They are taking it to the collection agency for the 250$. So I have progressive insurance I really like them very helpful. I got my tires slashed 10 other cars did too and they were real helpful about getting matching tires. I will contact the body shop tomorrow.
