Default what is the best engine for an integra

so wuts everyones opinion, i'd make a poll....but ican't, stupid trial! haha, so ya, the h22 is pretty sweet but i heard of a lot of problems from ppl that have made that swap, very difficult to swap, suspension problems, etc. so i'm thinking it simply comes down to the b18c5 from the type r.... wuts everyone think?

B18C5 is an obvious choice if we are talking stock motor.

I would say H22. You're going to upgrade your suspension anyways, right?

Why not boost a b18C1?? not a ton of difference between a C1 and C5 anyways.
Or b18C1 and a nice 80 shot of nitrous oxide

Because the C1 has higher compression than the B18b, having lower compression is better in a turbo application.

Secondly, A non-vtec motor is eaiser to tune, and cheaper, due to not having 2 different cam profiles as a vtec motor does.

because it costs alot less money to get your foot in the door. With the money you save building up your current motor you can make more whpthan a b18c5.

Also, what do you plan on doing with the motor? That should influence your decision just a little bit.

most retarded question ever...i know you think you're all high and mighty b/c you've got a B18C5 under the hood but let's not forget that you're only putting down 15 more hp and a few more lbs of torque than a stock B18C1...why in the **** would someone say "oh I'm not going to build it up bc its not a type r motor"??? some simple bolt ons and the C1 is already passed the C5 in hp and certainly torque....think before you post bitch

talking about saving money.....i was just checking out prices on engines and you can get h22a from a 96-00 prelude for $3100...... with the money saved you can afford to change the mounts, make necessary adjustments to the harness, etc. and still come out with the same price as building up a gsr engine....not to mention you're now looking at 200hp and 161lbs of torque....add a few bolt ons.....you'd be set, i'm thinking this would end up somewhere near the same price as building up the b18c1 considering it costs approximately $3600...... i guess the question is...is the $500 saved enough to get the necessary adjustments done so that the motor will fit?? and i know ppl are gonna say it's not gonna handle at all, but most ppl would be upgrading their suspension anyway right?? iunno, i'm new with this, what ya think of that??? sound good?

I guess i over looked the tranny......how much would that cost...and what kind to get?

it all depends on what type of car you want, (fast as *****, quick reliable daily driver, ect..) a b18c1 or c5 is a good chioce for an n/a daily driver car, and with a little work it had potential to be a very quick car as well, if you want it fast, b18b and boost it, or better yet, build an n/a k20... ; )
