Is this detonation? will I have to replace it soon?

RESIZE

Can't see very clearly but its small sand like dents. Is this detonation? or what is making this sand like dents?

can't see anything, but from what you described, it sounds like its detonating.

I was going to say it is easier to check the spark plugs but you already took the head off. And the picture isn't clear. But if it looks like the metal is coming off the piston, then its detonation.
