So I have replaced my transmission, my clutch, 2 drive axles, a ball joint, and numerous random bolts and parts....not to mention the retarded exhaust manifold bolts...and after 1,634.27$ later my car is running and fine....one week after its all fixed, it starts making and kind of grinding noise from the tranny/clutch....and i've been babying my car.....and tonight i left my car running for 2 hours sittin in my car with my g/f talkin to her, after taking her home....i go to leave and my car is kinda hard to get in reverse, and i dont think anything of it, so i take off and leave, and 1st 2nd and 3rd are perfectly fine.....and 4th is pretty good, and it wont go into 5th at all, cranked or not...driving or not....I DID EVERYTHING like the book says, haynes repair....torqued everything right and all, grease, everything....and now this....and speaking about the noise again, when i push my clutch in the grinding sounds goes away....i dont get it....help me out, is it the throwout barring? the gears? or what? maybe shift linkage hittin the exhaust? i dont know... help....
