wow, i've never heard of anyone doing something like that, alot of people might call it rice, until it works . I really doubt just the cf will cool anything down, or even stick to the intake manifold. if you really wanted to cool it down i guess another idea would be to put some brass hoses in between the manifold and the cf and run water through it, kinda like the water cooled cpu's. ummm good luck tho. different strokes for different folks.

how do you have 400 posts and have the nerve to ask a question like that? i'd expect that type of question from a person with my post count.

and no, cf won't cool down your intake manifold.

Post count has nothing to do with your engine mechanics knowledge or lack thereof.

CF IM exists already don't know if what you are thinking is pragmatic though.

Alright let me break this down. An all carbon intake manifold has very different thermal properties than metal and will not heat up as fast or as much as metal will. Wrapping a metal manifold with carbon will not change the thermal properties of the metal, in fact whatever insulation the carbon adds will do nothing but trap the heat in the manifold and result in a loss in performance. Doing this to the header is more on the right track, but then you have other issues to deal with.

there is the answer to my question, all these people making fun of me and not knowing what they are talking about, i will find that cf intake mani and show you the dyno test between in and the edlebrock one............30 damn horsepower over the edlebrock, i just have to find the link, but of course it costs 1200 bucks, so i was asking some1 who knew there **** like kendall, if i could just wrap it, so dohh!!!! to all you others

all i can say do you really think it will work. do you know how many hours Larry has put into his manifolds. so you think you can just make a mold and it will work.

no, i am not making a mold, i was just going to put the spray paint that was suppose to reduce heat, then put carbon fiber over it, on both mani's, but i wasnt sure if it would work they to my advantage, thats why i asked, and yet people dont respond but flame, a lot of honda techers are flaming and not giving an answer, its pissing me off
