How about the map sensor and tps, you sure there in the right spot ? And if they were switched around, the check engine light still might not come on.

pull the vac line off the fpr if there is gas in it replace the fuel pressure regulator as that is most likely your problem

plug wires ... at least u should pray.... go check firing order in FAQ section and make sure there on right order. Also pull the plugs outa the head and look to make sure the metal clips that connect to the spark plugs r still in the plastic (trust me)

good luck dude, get back with us

you are probably running rich because your fuel injectors are running too high. if possibile, try putting the stock injectors back in. if this solves it,you've found your culprit.

Its not going to be the injectors the injectors are the same between the LS and A6

I would say check your firing order and your timing...

are you serious??? i think you've watched the fast and the furious too many times. sorry, don't mean to get off topic but i can't believe someone actually said double clutching.

anyways back on topic. do you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?? if you do and you've bumped the pressure up too high your car will run rich, causing the black smoke and also at low rpms it will feel like it's bogging down.

So much guessing and miss-information going on in this thread.

If your plug wires were switched around, it would always be running rough.

Here are the wire colors for the tps and map sensor

TPS Sensor Wires:

1 Red/Blue
1 Green/White
1 Yellow/White

MAP Sensor Wires:

1 White/Red
1 Green/White
1 White

If you switch these plugs aroung, at idle the car will run fine, but as soon as hit the throttle, the car will bog.

werd, that is correct info. I still would check timing and fuel pressure after if the plugs being switched didn't solve the problem. BTW what code(s) are being thrown?
