removing head while motor is out of the car

Default removing head while motor is out of the car

my d16 is out of the car and im parting it out, what do i need to take off or discnnect?

take off the timing belt, take off the valve cover, and remove the big bolts between the springs. Head comes off.

You can take the intake manifold off too, but its not necessarry.

then is taking off the dizzy only for when its in the car?

and the im has 2 bolts that hold it to the block too right?

an engine stand makes this alot easier... if you dont have one you will prob have to get someone to hold on to the motor real good to keep it from moving while you loosen the head bolts... they are a bitch to get loose with the motor wobbling around... i swear my arms were so tired after i took my b16 head off with the motor out and on the ground
