question about accepting a car back form a body shop
just had my car repainted due to vandalism, and i went to have a look as to how far they had progresssed in the repair, i found that most of the painting and body work was done well, except for the front bumper it seemed like they half assed the job by just repairing the main part of the car that was damaged and not the entire bumper which still had small chips from pebbles hitting it, and just painting over the rest of the paint chips and small scratches.can i tell them that i am not satisfied with the work done to the front bumper and MAKE them repair it correctly?
yeah make em fix it OR go to your insturace company and tell em that they fucked up.

i hope im not offending anyone in any way, but i hate fuggin body shops...they slack in every way possible and cut more corners than a good race car driver...i have never in my 8 years of owning a vehicle been 100% satisfied with an job done by any body shop...you can complain all you want, but theyll never do it right...i hate having to walk on eggshells because i dont want to **** off the shop manager, and run the risk of him not fixing my car right the first time...i say if you paid good money for this paint job, ******* stick it to these ********!
i paid 835 for both bumpers and the hood to get painted and repaired, the only part painted well was the rear bumper. with the hood you can still see the scratches and with the front bumper, i asked them to remove the lip and paint it separately and they didn't, i took of the lip off this morning and guess what happened, the clear coat cracked, and the bumper still has signs of paint chips that were there before it was painted, so now i am taking it back and demanding that it be painted the right way with no flaws, or else i am calling the insurance company and telling my cousin which is the parts manager at the same dealership to do something about this.
the only good think that i think that they do is the method of how they paint parts which is base coat first (color only) then clear coat.

If in the statement of work it has a line specifying: "fill and repair small rock paint chips" then I would go back. Otherwise you should have asked them in the beginning to include that in their work order.
Their time is valuable, I don't expect places to include such things if they are not asked to.

Filling in chips and painting aer two different steps. You can re-paint an entire panel and still see the physical imperfections below. I'm guessing that his entire bumper was painted, they just didn't fill in the dings and chips prior.
You do have to make sure all of your requests end up on the work order, otherwise it won't get done.
