d16z6 intake mani on my 98 y7 engine......*searched*
i was hoping that a fellow HT member could direct me to a good how-to on putting the obd1 z6 mani on my obd2 y7 engine........i know that it will bolt up without a problem.......i need to know about all the coolant lines and sensors and plugs etc,etc........can i use the fuel rail and injectors from the z6?........which throttle body should i use?.....i need to know **** like that.....and yes i already know that the y8 is better to use but i have a z6 mani just sitting here and its better than the y7 one.....thanks
nobody knows of a write-up on this......i searched all over the place and didnt find anything that helped.....

I had a z6 manifold on a Y8 block, there is an extra coolant hole on the manifold that will have to be blocked off. Didn't cause any issues for me. I used the same z6 tb that was on my manifold, my car is originally obdI so there wasn't an issue for fuel injectors or the wire harness. So long as you have the rubber sealers for the injectors you'll probably be fine in regards to that. As for sensors, couldn't really answer that for you.
I don't know performance issues or enhancements on it, but if you're talking of just using it and having something work then yes.
