Idle problems - B16A - 2000+ rpm - WTF?
As the topic says, my idle at warm is above 2000rpm(while cold over 3000rpm). I have cleaned the IACV and there seems to be no vacuum leaks. All hoses are connected as they are supposed to be. The problem appeared out of nowhere. Was at a trackday and suddenly this happened.
Any ideas anyone?

intake leak?? Distributor? Ecu? This happens on my 91 teg with obd-0 wiring/components if I rev above 7000rpm with my Ls vtec build....but not when cold or warm if driving is normal...sorry i couldn't be more helpful.
I have had 2 diffrent people come to me with this problem, one had a bad vac leak from the pcv valve, and te other had a chunck missing form the intake manifold gasket allowing more air in
check the intake hose at the back of the manifold, even the metal insert...that insert got popped out once while mashing on the throttle and my rpms rose to 4000 rpm and my brakes were very hard...this particular hose pressurizes the brake system and somehow it came off cause it was bent on installation....it was a scare going 80...****..... I just got some steel epoxy and put it on an stuck it back in....good luck keep us posted..
