Blowing seals and burning oil, I think I found a solution...
For a while now I have been burning a small amount of oil, and I can't seem to stop oil pan gasket leaks. The only time I see smoke is when I let off after a 3rd gear redline pull, i'll see puffs of smoke out of the exhaust. I've already replaced a rear main that was destroyed. The cylinder head had a rebuild not too long ago, new valve seals, but the machine shop was unable to replace the valve guides without doing any damage. Compression is an even 280psi on all 4 cylinders, I have yet to do a leakdown. The car still runs great, but the oil leaks **** me off.. I can't stand having a dirty engine.
I came across this and I think I might give it a shot...

Here is the description:
"Increase engine performance by reducing pressure buildup.
These Mr. Gasket crankcase evacuation systems are primarily drag race systems designed to reduce pressure buildup in the engine crankcase. They provide better piston ring seal, less intake charge contamination, and a reduced chance of oil leaks, while increasing your engine performance."
Sounds it would do the trick, what do you all think...

how can you not stop oil pan leaks? If you replace the gasket add some hondabond to the designated spots and torque it right, it shouldnt leak at all...you may wanna check your pcv system if the engine is spitting oil out from your new gaskets...
if you want a better ventilation system for your crankcase get this:

You can order the pieces individually--I ordered just the check valve that you weld into the header collector--run it to your valvecover--they really only work at all on cars without mufflers. You can also check out http://www.fastbygast.com they have an electric vacuum pump for the crankcase gases--the ProStock bikes use them. It probably works better than the factory ones people pilfer out of older GM cars.
Also--the Endyn kit is just a modified Moroso can at like twice the price. The only difference is the Endyn can has two ports--the standard Moroso has one. So get a 3/8" npt alum weld fitting from Summit and have it welded on--you will have saved yourself at least $40-$50...

wrong
the endyn kit is internally baffled so oil stays in the can while the motor can still keep the vacum lines or use the breather

so for an extra 40-50 bucks u get baffles...just throw some steel wool into the moroso can...done

I'd rather pay the extra 40 bucks in order not to be ghetto.. Also I'd rather have peace of mind that a manufacturer actually designed the part to work the way it does.. you get what you pay for

I'll take a look at it. I've been through 2 new oil pan gaskets. The first gasket I torqued down to spec with hondabond where it is supposed to be, and the second time I just said **** it and put hondabond all over the gasket. Nothing seems to get rid of these damn leaks.. and I don't want to blow out another rear main.

How hard is it to design a catch can? So figure out a way to baffle the Moroso can-without something like steelwool getting sucked out of it--I wouldn't buy the Endyn can on principle....Not to mention I already have a standard Moroso can hooked up. Also--does anybody have proof or pictures of this "baffle" in the Endyn can? The Endyn site makes not mention of it whatsoever.

Time is money in my eyes, your gonna spend more time/gas trying find all the neccasary hardware and what not...You pay for the convenience of the product as a whole...
To each their own, If you have the time and availibility of hardware to make your own product, then more power to you..If not (like myself) i would go with the endyn and be done with it...
