I was quoted over $400 today by my local tranny shop to swap my OEM differential with my OBX LSD. Toooo much for my budget so I wanna try and do it myself. Ive got a spare tranny that has something inside blown that I can do a test run on I guess.
I couldnt find a sinlge bit of info anywhere on a SOHC differential swap. I need a complete guide, I know nothing about transmissions, literally nothing other than the clutch flyshweel and throwout bearing. SO I need a serious step by step walk through and any special tools needed.

well you know pull the tranny.. pull the 3/8 plug (not the drain) all the 12mm bolts going around the tranny.. now with the 3/8 pulled spread the circlip and pull the case apart.. now with the case off pull the 19mm bolt and the gold twelves blah blah you know what i cant explain just watch what your doing and take pictures and see where everything goes

 

haha, you cant just have zero tranny experience and open one up and expect to successfully install an aftermarket unit.

Im cheap so I want to know what things I can reuse and such

I need an actual Honda guide or someone else exptremely detailed version of the install

you need to have someone with experience help you on this job.

if you don't know or don't have the service manual then you will get lost trying to take it apart and even more so trying to put it back together.
