I went and looked at the CRX i'm thinking about buying. It runs and drives pretty good except for a few things.
Passenger side rear caliper is toast. it drags and squeals while driving.
shifter is EXTREMELY hard to get in and out of gear, at first i though shifter bushings, but the car has a new clutch, and i'm thinking the clutch pedal just isnt adjusted right...
here's the biggie, it's THROWING A CODE 9. which according to the FAQ means #1 cylinder position. the guy said the car needs a distributor, could the distributor cause this code?
also, when the car is warm, at idle, it will jump up to about 1500 rpms and then sharply drop to about 300 and repeat this. could the disrtibutor cause this?

i member i had that code, i just replace my dizzy since i had one sittin down and car ran like new

What is the price on it then we can tell you if you should buy.

 

depending on how much it is then id buy it

 

its a 90 si w/ 213k miles
he's asking 1500 OBO and it's been for sale for about a month
rust on rear driver fender, about 6 inches long
car has also been sitting since may apparently
top end was also rebuilt about 6 months ago
has new clutch, tires, head gasket, water pump, timing belt, alternator, and cams

 

how much should i offer for this car?
